NY CDL PERMIT PRACTICE
Privacy Policy

Potential Development Association (“PDA,” “we,” “us”) provides NY CDL Permit Practice. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Information we handle
- Account information: When you choose Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, we receive an account identifier and may receive your name and email address from that provider.
- Practice and access information: We store quiz progress, results, wrong-answer history, language and subject choices, free-use counters, invitation-code status, subscription entitlement, and security or misuse-prevention status.
- Purchase information: Google Play or Apple processes payment. We receive transaction identifiers, receipts or purchase tokens, product information, and entitlement status; we do not receive your full payment-card number.
- App and device information: Firebase services may process app instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Some preferences and progress are also stored locally on your device.
- Support information: We process the information you choose to include when you contact us.
The app does not request precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, SMS, or call-log permissions.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, provide and synchronize practice features, maintain subscription or invitation-code access, restore purchases, prevent misuse, diagnose problems, understand aggregate feature usage, respond to support requests, and meet legal or store requirements.
Service providers and sharing
We use Google Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, analytics, and related infrastructure; Google Play and Apple for sign-in and purchases; and contracted infrastructure needed to operate app features. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy commitments. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of an organizational transaction with appropriate notice and safeguards.
Security and retention
Data transmitted to our services uses encrypted connections. We apply access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We keep account-linked data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with law. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained where it no longer identifies you.
Your choices and account deletion
You can delete your account from the app’s main menu. The app will request deletion of the Firebase Authentication account and the account-linked practice, progress, usage, and profile records maintained by the app. Store purchase records remain subject to Google Play or Apple retention requirements, and deletion does not cancel an active subscription; cancel it separately in the applicable store.
You may also request account and associated-data deletion by emailing support@pdaus.org with “NY CDL account deletion” in the subject. We may need to verify ownership before completing the request.
Children
The app is intended for people preparing for a commercial driver’s license and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app, providers, or legal requirements. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required.
